Common questions
- Signing in.hum has no passwords. You sign in with a magic link sent to your email, or with Google or Apple. If a magic link doesn't arrive, check your spam folder and try again.
- Recording a hum.Record one short voice memo a day. Once you've posted, that day's memos from your friends unlock. If you skip a day, nothing happens: there are no streaks and no penalty.
- Adding friends.Share your personal link (find it on the Friends screen) with someone you know. There's no search or public discovery; your circle is only the people you each add.
- Notifications. Each type of notification can be turned on or off individually in Settings.
- Microphone or location access. hum uses the microphone to record and, if you allow it, an optional location label. You can change these anytime in your device settings.
